This video will guide you through the Switch Health COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit experience.

Our Health Canada-authorized collection of test kits are one of the many ways Switch Health is delivering accessible healthcare solutions around the world.

This quick, non-invasive, easy to use kit is designed to be used wherever you are.

A telehealth professional will guide you through the use of your kit's contents, which can only be used as instructed.

Switch Health's COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit returns a result within one hour.

Your official result record, valid for travel, is generated after uploading your result reading to ASMO, the Switch Health patient portal for verification.

What you will need

Before you begin, you will need to be in a well lit area so you're a visible on camera and a designated space for your device to run undisturbed.

It's important that you have 30 minutes to an hour of time to perform the test.

In order to perform the test, you will need to have a mobile device with a camera, like a smartphone, access to reliable internet, a piece of valid government ID, hand sanitizer or an area close by for hand washing, facial tissues, and a pen.


Kit contents

Each Switch Health COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit contains:

  • Switch Health instruction manual,

  • Switch Health QR code labels,

  • Switch Health test interpretation guide,

  • Switch Health activation and upload guide,

  • Two test devices,

  • Two extraction buffer tubes,

  • Two nozzle caps, two sterile swabs,

  • and manufacturer instructions.

  • Depending on your kit, you may also have two buffer vials as well.


Device/browser requirements

This kit can only be conducted on a mobile device with a camera. Desktop computers are not supported at this time.


Please ensure you initiate your telehealth session on a supported browser and allow microphone and camera access. Chrome for Android mobile device users, Safari for Apple mobile device users.

When will I receive my results?

Your Result Record for the RT-PCR Collection Kit will be available within 48 hours after your returned specimen is received by the lab. Your Result Record for the RT-LAMP or Rapid Antigen Test Kit will be available within 30 minutes of uploading your result reading into ASMO.

What kind of test do I need?

Please check the requirements for the country you are entering. Switch Health, Air Canada and Aeroplan are not responsible for ensuring the customer has selected the corrected test.

Can my dependents be tested in the same session?

Yes. Dependents can be tested in the same session if they were selected prior to entering the wait room. We cannot test unannounced patients, even if they are dependents.

Aeroplan Members will receive a discounted retail price and earn 500 Aeroplan points per Antigen test purchased online through Switch Health, https://switchhealth.ca/en/partners/aeroplan. In order to be eligible to earn Aeroplan points, members must enter their Aeroplan number in the appropriate field on https://switchhealth.ca/en/partners/aeroplan/ before purchasing their tests or booking an appointment at a Switch Health clinic. Switch Health Antigen tests are eligible for earning Aeroplan points regardless of whether the COVID-19 test is completed remotely using a Switch Collection or Test kit or at a Switch Health Travel Clinic. The discounted retail price and Aeroplan points per Antigen test is subject to change. Shipping costs are included in the price where applicable. Points will be credited to the member’s account within 4 weeks of purchasing the Antigen test. Switch Health Collection or Test Kits are non-refundable.
